Kids Safety Request - We ask that no kids should be playing in the parking lot and the Green Bay Ave sides of the shul for safety and security reasons. Kids may play on the cement patio area outside of the social hall.

Come and Meet New VIsiting Community Shlichim There are new community Shlichim, Uria and Moria Roth, who are here for an orientation Shabbat. They will be joining us at the afternoon discussion at the Karans and for Mincha and Seudah Shelishit.   We will provide babysitting for the little ones there at the Karans. 

Uria and Moria Roth and their three children: Nadav (age 8), Roni (age 6) and Yuval (age 3) will be coming to Milwaukee to be the community Shlichim in August.
Uria has done shlichut in the Western US and also been on shlichut in the former Soviet Union and Azerbaijan. Originally from Haifa, he and his family now live in Jerusalem where he is currently the Director Teen Programming for the Fuchsberg Center, a Conservative movement home base.  He has a Masters in Political Science as well as a teaching certificate. His hobbies include traveling, reading, board games, having ice cream, and baking. Moria is also an educator, currently working in a girls’ high school. Among other subjects, she teaches theater, and is currently working with an adult theater group in Jerusalem as well as taking a baking class. Uria and Moria are in Milwaukee for an orientation. Make sure to give them a nice Glendale welcome!

Wisconsin Unity Shabbat - Sat, Nov. 16: The Wisconsin Unity Shabbat will revolve around the theme "ViAhavta LiReiacha Kamocha - Love your fellow as yourself" On Motzai Shabbat, the Jewish community will come together for Havdalah and a program followed by a comedy show "Strictly UnOrthodox" with Ashley Blaker.

Milwaukee Chevra Kadisha: is in need of more men and women to help with the mitzvah of Taharas. There is a stipend per tahara, or you can choose to donate the money to tzedeka. Yom HaAtzmaut / Israeli Independence Day - Sun., May 19 – 3:00 – 6:30 pm at Milwaukee County War Memorial Center (750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive): Show your support during Wisconsin’s largest celebration of Israel! Timeline*: 3:00 – 3:30pm: Opening Ceremony, 3:30 – 4:30 pm: Walk for Israel (1.5 mile solidarity walk), 4:30 – 6:30 pm: Celebrating Israel’s diverse culture through fashion, art, instruments**, silent disco, and food for purchase ($5 meals and $20 family)

Tree of Life: To honor the memory of Lorraine Cohen, her loving family has donated a beautiful Tree of Life plaque to ASKT. Leaves can be purchased and inscribed to honor a person, recognize a special occasion or to remember a special loved one. Top leaves in brass: donation of $360 Bottom leaves in bronze: $180.
