Shabbat Afternoon
This Shabbat, July 20 at the home of Peggi and Bruce Glaser, 1844 Brantwood Ct. Given by Rabbi Kalmar at 7:05pm “Really? Right in the Middle of Summer? How We Relate to and Gain From the Mourning of the Three Weeks”

Next week, July 27 at the home of Elana and Akiva Karan:  “How Much is dat Doggie in da Window? Jews and Dogs” given by Ben Karan

Week Days:
Sun. - Fri.: 30 Minutes Before Shacharit: Amud Yomi: (Talmud Bavli - Chullin)

Shayla Section -  "I cooked noodles in a fleishig pot - a. if I eat the noodles do I have to wait before eating milk? b. can I put cheese on the noodles? c.  What if I put cheese on the noodles already? Do I have to throw them out?"

A:   To question a - the answer is no - you do not have to wait - even if the pot was not a hundred percent clean (sorta gross, but still) and there was a little bit of fatty meaty liquid in the pot - one can eat dairy after the noodles.   To question b - the answer is it depends - Sephardim would be able to put cheese on the noodles and Ashkenazim would not.  However, if one cooked them in a meat pot that had not been used in 24 hours and then afterwards decided you wanted to put cheese on them - even Ashkenazim could do so.  But one could not have in mind from the beginning to cook the noodles even in the pot not used for 24 hours in order to put cheese on them.....  Unless.....you had no other pot that you could use to cook the noodles - in which case you could use one that had not been used in 24 hours even if you had in mind to put cheese on them.  The answer to question c is - no.  If one mistakenly put the cheese on the noodles you would be able to eat them - even if the noodles were cooked in a meat pot that had been used in the previous 24 hours.
